Lead & backing vocals, keys &
percussion
This extremely accomplished musician is the “suave” behind
the Mercedez sound and look. Not
only can he play several instruments and sing harmonies beautifully, but he
is an outstanding and engaging lead vocalist.
A graduate of CAPA Performing Arts High School in Pittsburgh, PA,
Sean went on to play with several local musical projects, including E Club,
Pretty Boy and Denvetta. He also
filled in briefly with Pittsburgh
band Modern Man. His big break
came when he moved to Minneapolis and hooked up with one of Prince’s
protégé’s, Ingrid Chavez (who is best known for penning the Madonna song
“Justify My Love”), and honed his skills in the tough, competitive
Minneapolis scene. He was a
backing vocalist for Alexander O’Neil (known for the hits “Fake” and “If You
Were Here Tonight”) and went on a world tour with him, playing such places
as Wembley Stadium in London,
England. Now, as a member of Mercedez, Sean
(or “Sean Juan”, as he is known in musical circles) brings to the table a
wealth of talent, experience, versatility, and exceptional showmanship that
is taking the band to the next level.
